I am a passionate advocate for a decentralised web. I believe that allowing corporations to standardise the internet, thereby stifling expression and individuality, undermines the original vision of the World Wide Web. Providing an accessible platform for people to create personal websites is, in my view, a step towards reclaiming the web’s original spirit of customisability and uniqueness. Forbes reports that candidates with a personal website are far more likely to stand out to over half of employers. Including a website on your CV, even if it’s just a simple page with your name, a few paragraphs, and links to your work, can make you appear more professional and organized.
